Many have expressed the same message in different words, in different languages, even in different religions. I find Hemingway’s words easy to understand, and easy to share. But what is easy to understand often is the most difficult to do. When we find ourselves in a position of insecurity, what is most convenient to do is to look at and point to the weaknesses of others. That way, it makes it easier, as well, to imagine that we are better than them.
